The term"alienation" was introduced by a French mathematician Jean Dhombresto emphasize the (somewhat shocking) phenomenon that each solution of a singleequation has to satisfy the corresponding system of equations:
from the equality of the sums we infer the equalities of the summandsinvolved.
Numerous other problems of that kind (including functional inequalities) will be
discussed and reported on.
报告人简介：
Roman Ger教授，1971获得Silesian大学博士学位，1990获得Silesian大学终身职位，现于波兰Silesian大学yl7703永利官网工作。他是迭代理论与动力系统领域国际知名专家，现有不少波兰Kuczma学派的活跃人物都是他的弟子。他在函数方程与不等式，特别是凸分析、稳定性、不变均值及其在函数方程中的应用等方面做出了杰出的工作，分别在Amer.Math. Soc., Ann. Polo. Math., Proc. Amer. Math. Soc., J. Theo. Prob., Coll. Math., Aequationes Math.等国际重要刊物发表学术论文120篇。他是波兰数学会学术带头人，美国数学会成员，六个国际会议的学术成员。此外，他曾多次访问美国、加拿大、及欧洲和亚洲等25个国家，数次参加函数方程国际会议并作50余次大会报告。
